Brief Description: LH Fuselage Side Landing Gear Attachment Pad
Spent about 30 minutes trimming up the pads that I layed up yesterday. They look nice! Excellent smooth transitions. The small FWD pads that I did as three groups of 5 ply pre-pregged pieces has a small amount of "flecking" in them. The pre-pregged groups of 5 plys are near perfect I suspect and the flecking is in between the groups of 5 plys. Stacking 5 ply on top of 5 plys does not provide a easy path for air to escape. The large AFT pad that I did wetting single plys also came out good with good transistions and no flecking. I did this LH large AFT pad using the normal single ply wetting technique based on the results of yesterday's work. It takes a little longer, but seems to be a better result (no flecking).
