Brief Description:  RH Fuselage Side Top Longeron Bonding

I pulled the peel ply off of the perimeter of the layup as can be seen in photo 1 and then trimmed the inner skin layups flush to the foam perimeter with my hand held router and a flush trim bit. Then I set up to bond the top longeron on. I rough sanded the bonding side of the longeron, vacuumed it, then wiped the bonding surfaces off with acetone and let if flash off. Mixed up 40 grams of epoxy and brushed a coat of pure epoxy on the wood. I then used the rest of the 40 grams to mix up wet flox and put it in a zip lock to apply to the fuselage side. This did not end up being enough flox so I scrapped it off and mixed up 60 grams of flox which did the trick. I had a lot of squeeze out to clean up so 50 would have probably been fine, better safe than sorry! I had pre-bonded the tapered double to the upper longeron a few days ago and that worked better than having to deal with it while everthing is wet.
