Brief Description:  Rudder pedals

The standard rudder pedals that come with the kit fox are formed out of solid chromoly sheet. They have an option you can order called Puka Pedals which removes some of the weight by stamping holes in the pedals which cost $200.00. When I ordered my kit I did not realize they were available and therefore got the standard ones. I really liked them and noticed it does remove a significant amount of weight by punching the holes. I decided that since I already had solid pedals I would try to punch my set out and save the money. I layed out the center lines and used a set punch and then drilled the six holes with a small drill bit. Since I have an electricians knockout punch set I drilled the next hole to the exact size of the die shaft on the punch set. Doing this ensures the dies wont move around and make the holes out of line. I used the die that is good for 3/4 electrical conduit which I believe is around 1 1/8 dia. to punch the final hole sizes. They all came out great. I will order some non slip tape to install over the pedals as well
