Attempted to identify spar hang up, but was unable. Then contacted Synergy, builders of the RV12 quickbuilt kit and discussed with their mechanics. They noted oversize stub spars are now standard, and in their experience a need for shortening was not uncommon. They advised removing 1/64 inch, then reinserting. With multiple wing insertions anticipated, a sling was set up to allow easy movement in and out. Several hours removing very small amounts of material from the stub spars, almost all from the posterior spar. Still unable to insert spars!
