Brief Description:  Drilled holes in wing spar

I procrastinated about starting the wings for a few days. I told myself that I was getting the shop ready for construction of the wings but actually I was fairly nerous about starting. The first step in construction is to drill a bunch of holes in the nicely gold annodized front wing spars. And for some reason I had a hard time getting myself to do it. Of course now that it is done I don't know why but it was hard to motiate myself to progress for about four days. The holes are for the fuel tank skin to bolt to the main spar. I am doing both wings at the same time. There are 60 platenuts per tank and each platenut has 3 drilled holes. So 360 holes hae to be drilled deburred and countersunk. Then 240 flush rivets attach 120 platenuts. This was a lot more time consuming than I thought it was going to be.
