Brief Description: Primed the skeleton with SS primer
I primed the skeleton parts with the Stewart System's smoke gray primer. It was a little light in color but looked good. I made sure to thin out the primer to around 20 seconds through a viscosity cup.
The primer came in a 1 quart can instead of the screw top plastic jug which disappointed me a bit. It ran down the side of the can when I poured it and I had to use a mallet to replace the lid.
I used a Harbor Freight HVLP gun with the regulator at the gun so I can set the pressure. I used around 40psi at the gun. I have read that if you use the recomended lower psi the primer will splatter. I used 2-1/2 turns on the paint regulator valve, later I used 1-1/2 turns and that worked slightly better and din't go on as thick.
