I was in the hangar going through some paperwork in preparation for submitting the FAA registration and did a couple small items.
I checked the prop tracking. I had done this after mounting the prop but since I had moved to the hangar since then I decided to recheck it prior to the first engine start. I set up a sheet of paper below the prop arc and taped a Sharpie pen to each prop, then swung the prop through a rotation to see how the track compared. The two blades drew the exact line on the paper, so the prop tracking in right on.
I also used the lamps to dry out the moisture absorbing material for the engine. The air in the hangar during the winter is full of moisture so I have to repeat this every couple fo weeks.
