I removed the cowling and hinges, and deburred and generally cleaned up all parts. I also cut the attachment hinge pins to size and bent as required. I then reassembled the cowling halves and checked for fit between each and marked for any added sanding or shaping. There were also a few thin spots and some rough edges in the fiberglass, so I mixed up an epoxy paste and built up these areas.
