I installed the GPS antenna onto the upper fuselage behind the canopy. This went on easily with the only difficulty being having to crawl into the narrow fuselage and clamping a vice grip onto the nuts then climbing back outside to tighten the screws.
Only after installation did I discover that the antenna connector is a TNC fitting (screw on) rather than the BNC fitting on all other antennas. I didn't notice this when I made the coax cable connection that I had put in position at the antenna site.
I'll either have to order a TNC fitting and replace the fitting on the coax, or maybe look for an adapter that will link the TNC to a BNC fitting.
