I talked to Lightspeed about the installation of the electronic ignition and had my questions answered. My unit was shipped with an older connector wire and an alternate connection method is used, so that is the plan. Not a problem, just that the instructions referred to the newer connector and added to the confusion. Also Pacific Coast Avionics was helpful providing answers to my questions about wiring the key switch.
I made a mounting bracket for the LSE ignition module. This bracket will be riveted to the rear of the firewall, behind the right seat rudder pedals. The module will be mounted with screws into nutplates. I also placed insulation between the bracket and firewall for heat and sound dampening. There is still open space between the module and bracket to allow for cooling. I primed and riveted the mount in place, then installed the module.
