I got sample fabrics from Classic Aero Design of Salem Oregon. They have made RV interiors for many builders and are highly recommended. I looked through pictures that I had taken of interiors at several fly ins over the years and decided on the general color scheme and look of the cockpit. The final choices were sent to Classic and the lead time is about 3 months. I sent several photos to them and they said that I would probably have to make some minor modifications to my lower instrument panel and sidewalls to accomodate their interior.
They will send me the plastic side panel that will leter be covered with my fabric. I can then trim that panel to a perfect fit, then return it to them for the fabric installation. Theoretically when the final product arrives it will be a perfect fit for my plane.
