In talking to tech advisors at Van's, they said that 1" of sweep on the wings is probably too much, and within 1/2" is usually OK, so my 3/4" is probably acceptable. The quick build wing should have the rear spar trimmed properly at delivery, but mine is too long and will not insert enough into the fuselage to get rid of the forward sweep. Van's said that this is not an uncommon problem and I could either leave it or trim the spar as necessary. The caution is to be sure I will have enough edge distance for the rear spar bolt. I decided to trim the rear spar, and trimmed about 1/4" initially.
