Today EAA technical advisor Marv Scott flew into Tacoma Narrows in his RV8 to look over my RV, This was kind of a "pre-inspection" inspection. It was nice to have another set of experienced eyes look over my project and see if it was up to standards.
Marv spent about 1 1/2 hours going over everything. He pointed out about half a dozen things to watch for during future maintenance and a few things to tweak before the DAR inspection, but nothing major. At the end he filled out a tech counselor visit form and put "outstanding workmanship" in the comments section. A nice complement coming from an experienced tech advisor and RV builder.
We then chatted about RV's and flying. It was an enjoyable visit with another nice RV owner.
