I had been unhappy with the fit of the rear canopy skirt on the right rear side. While the left side was pretty nice, there was a significant gap on the right side and a little pucker along the rear skirt. I decided to replace the right rear skirt to correct this. This first required drilling out the pop rivets and removing the old skirt. It then took some time to position and trim the new skirt into the correct shape. I think the problem with the old skirt was that I didn't secure the skirt tight enough against the fuselage before drilling. This time I insured that the skirt was taped securely in the final position then drilled for the rivets.
After trimming and deburring I riveted the new skirt in place and it now looks much better than the original one.
