Began wiring the relays for the lights, fan, pitot heat etc.
Using a relay for these items simplifies the wiring. Without the relays, each wiring run and their heavy wires would have to pass through the "on/off" switch on the instrument panel. By using the relays the heavy guage wiring passes through the relay, and the relay is controlled by each "on/off" switch on the panel. Wiring runs from the switches to the relays are very light.
I will use relays for heavy duty items (defrost fan, fuel boost pump, pitot heat, strobe, landing light and nav lights).
