Brief Description:  Troubleshooting the temp gauges

I removed the covers at the firewall disconnects and traced all EGT wires. They all checked out well (I don't get it). I pulled out both probe sensors and put a torch to them. Both gauges reacted identically, correctly and on the correct gauge (I don't get it). I will do the same for both CHT gauges, a considerably more difficult proposition, possibly Wednesday of this week.

A few things I fixed or changed per Mike's recommendation:

1. I drilled a new hole in the enricher lever, closer to the knob so by attaching the cables there, they will pull straight from the end of the housings and not wear (cut) them. This changed the leverage (harder pull) but not enough to be a problem.

2. I replaced the plastic saddles at the tail boom attch points behind back seat with aluminum tubing segments per the 101 site. Mike says plastic is problematic (makes sense).

3. Replaced the "safety pins" in the steering linkage clevis pins with snap rings.

4. Added RTV to the exhaust spring safety wires to reduce or hopefully eliminate vibration and abrasion.
