I lined the underside of the front and middle gap covers with AL foil tape (2" wide). I cleaned the surface with isopropyl alcohol first which helped the tape to stick. Because the tape glue overlap insolates each strip from the next, I needed to tape down two longitudinal copper braded bare wires. I checked the continuity and this worked very well.
