Brief Description: Painted some parts with self-etching primer
I decided to paint certain cockpit visible parts for aesthetic reasons. I cleaned with Alodine and painted the following parts with self-etching primer. This required removal of as many parts as possible.
Bottom three sides of the wing root tube (pilot and passenger visible part). Overhead door frame. Front seat back tubes. Control sticks. Down tubes - root to panel. Front windshield bows.
I don't know if I will paint with another color. The neutral gray satin finish looks pretty nice. TBD later.
