Brief Description:  First Engine Run up Successful

Prior to engine start up we calibrated the fuel gauges by filling each tank 5 gallons at a time. This was done for both the flight attitude and ground attitude. The total capacity of each tank is 30.5 gallons and the unusable fuel is .5 gallons in level flight attitude. The tanks were drained through a filter to capture any debris. The fuel was not re-used in the aircraft. The tanks were then filled with 10 gallons per side. The fuel system was checked for integrity leaks by using the electric pump. Both tanks were checked for max flow using the electric pump. The max flow measured to the fuel servo was 61 GPH. The servo was connected and flow was verified through the fule flow transducer to the spider and the lines were flushed. The engine was spun without the plugs installed until oil appeared at the pressure sending unit. The sending unit was connected and the engine was re-spun to verify the low pressure light extriguished and the efis oil pressure was reading. The engine was started and run for 2 minutes after which a leak check was performed. The engine was cooled down and restarted and allowed to run until the CHT's reached 250 deg. at which time the engine was shut down. This lasted approximately 3 minutes.
