The Story of "HOPE"

Date:  4-1-2011
Number of Hours:  36.00
Manual Reference:
Brief Description:  Initial fitting of the Horizontal Sabilizer and El

I have to guess at the number of hours spent on building the airplane. Not sure if I should count the hours it took to build a painting booth in the basement and time spent spring cleaning the yard.

The main stepping stones include:
1. Firewall built and ready for installation
2. Forward fuselage built and ready to join with the raer fuselage
3. Initial fitting of the Rudder, Horizontal Stabalizer and Elevator.

Decisions Decisions Decisions...
4. I installed a LED tail light, but the anti collition beacon is too big (6cm diamaeter) and too heavy (300g) to install it on top of the tail. I really wanted it, i always liked that red flshing light in this position on my Cessna 150, but I have to settle for a less prominent spot.
5. I decided to drill out the back luggage compartment wall again. After closing up the rear fuselage I have a had time to install the antennas, the Dynon ADAHRS with the pneumatic hook-ups, and my fuselage stiffeners to prevent oil canning

Hopefully some of those problems will be resolved by the end of the weekend!
