OK so 2 more pre-inspection steps completed. I had the data palte that came with the EAA certificaiton kit engraved witgh the required info. I located a spot on the left side of the emp under the HS where I drilled 2 mounting holes, primed and then riveted on the SS plate. I then placed the 3" high N-number decals I bought from my local West Marine on the VS. This is a temp solution simply to meet the FAR registration mark requirements until I get the plane painted sometime after I complete the 40-hr Phase 1 fly-off.
