Spars and all contact surfaces were prepped sanded, and cleaned with acetone. 800 grams of hysol were mixed and used for the bond between the two surfaces. After all surfaces were "wet out" we then built the hysol such that about a 3/16" plateau was formed. This is to ensure that when the halves are put together there is 100% contact with the mating surface. The goal is to get a little squeeze out, which is then cleaned up. After the Halves are together, the jig is set on top to ensure proper alignment and surface contact. The squeeze out is cleaned and the leading edge is secured with tape until cured.
