Brief Description:  Continued with ipad mount

Finished ipad mount and powdercoated same. The RCA jack slider is in the upper left hand corner. It is shown in the closed position and open position in the back side pictures. The slider is mounted to a removable base panel with four screws and nut plates so that it can me removed from the frame without crawling under the instrument panel. the slider is attached to this removable base panel with nylon clamps. which attach two tubes to the back side of the base panel. Slider tubes slide inside these clamped tubes. These slider tubes are attached to the slider body with a screw in each end of the slider tubes which were tapped for this purpose. The RCA jack is a 90 degree jack and it is attached to the slider body with two screws. The slider body is acuated from the front side with a lever arm that slides back and forth thru a smal gap at the top of the removable panel. This arm is a intergral part of the bent-up .032" 6061-T6 slider. Finally a relese lever is incorporated in the assy so that the ipad can be kicked out of the frame, otherwise there is nothing on the flush mounted ipad to grab and pull out. The release lever is covered by the slider lever when the slider is in the closed position and a rivet head in the frame snaps into a hole in the slidet lever traping the release lever and locking the slider. Simiple.
