Brief Description:  Routed Brake Lines

Formed and routed brake lines out to the brakes. I used a heat gun to form the lines. I also used a tube bender to control the bend radius. The gun is used to just soften the line while at the same time the tube is bent over the bender's mandral. Too much heat and the line melts, so a fine touch is needed. Three or four hands would be nice, but not availble, so I built a simiple stand to clamp the tube bender too, this made the operation quite a bit easier.
I then later added brake fluid, I am using Mobile 1 Automatic Transmission Fluid. I first shifted the caliper in the brake using air pressure into the bleed fitting with a cheep-o hand pump from Harbor Freight. Then used a Cheep harbour freight vacume pump to suck the fluid up the brake lines. Started working fine then pump broke. got frustrated with plumping fittings and ended up buying a handpump brake pressure bleeder, But it didn't come with a fitting that fits a bleed fitting ( It's designed to bleed from the resivour down, not from the brake up). Any whay finialy got it done with a leaky jury rigged fitting. The good news, no leaks! firm pedels!
