Brief Description:  Figuring out assembly problems

The text manual on page 05-02 step 7 calls out for assembly of the nut plates that attach the center spar carry thru plate to the fwd and aft spars. However the predrilled holes do not seem to match the pattern given in Figure 05-07. If the Figure is followed then the nut plate will cover-up ½ of the rivet hole next to it as shown in this picture for the outboard most nut plates. (the nut plates are laying on the opposite side for illustrative purposes). If the bolt hole is drilled ¼ dia it will also result in short edge distance to the next rivet hole. It also seems that the mating angled plate is drilled in a way that the nut plate should be moved one hole inboard. I’m afraid if I do this wrong then the seat will not fit.
(View looking down on the center fuselage front spar, fwd to the left and outboard down. The plate sits on the fwd and aft front spar upper flanges. The angled plate which will be under the seat is to the left.)
I'll post this issue on the ransclan web site and see if anyone else has had this problem.
I also have a predrilled nut plate hole that doesn’t line up on the same plate near the center. And a under cut on the center spar c/t fuselage skin angle.
None of these issues are a big deal and should be easy to fix.
