Brief Description: Preventing edge damage to thin bandsawn parts
My bench top band saw would damage thin sheet parts because the gap between the side of the blade and the table is to large. The down force from the blade would bend the cut edge of the part resulting in a very poor quality edge. I clamped a thin sheet of plywood over the top of the table, with a slit in it to accommodate the blade. Now it works very well.
