Brief Description:  Useful tools

, By far the most useful tool is the Ransclan website, www.ransclan.com.
, A set of drill stops. I would consider these to be essential. I use one on almost every hole drilled.
, A laser level has been extremely helpful - and promotes peace of mind.
, I use a 120 volt Craftsman 25 gal. 150 psi oil lubricated unit rated at 5.8 cfm at 90 psi, model 919.195413. Oil lubricated is quieter than oil-free. Mine is only about as noisy as a washing machine, which is important since I use it at night in my garage, in a tightly packed neighborhood.
, Goodyear 3/8” dia PVC air hose. I originally tried a polyurethane air hose which is nice and light weight, but the coils are built into the hose and it would not lie flat on the floor. This was such a trip hazard that I changed to the PVC hose.
, A 1/8” Burraway tool, Wicks tool supply 2125, is very useful for enclosed backsides.
7. The 22022 Royal multi burr tool is very useful for edges and lightning holes.
, Sioux DR1412 palm air drill. A palm air drill is very small and light weight. It makes it easy to get into tight spots. Considering the number of holes to be drilled, I think a good drill is a worthwhile investment. By far the best price was Brown tool supply.
, Cleco clamps, I’ve found the 1” ones to most used.
, A right angle drill attachment, I was worried about this at first but it works great.
, A bench belt sander. Based on Glenn’s recommendation, I got one at Harbor Freight, so far I’ve found this to be much more useful than the bench grinder.
