After pouring the aileron balance weights, I balanced the stabilator. I placed the stab on its hinge pins with the trim tab and drive rod attached. installed the weight and then slowly melted off the excess lead at the aft end of the weight (to maximize amount of lead removed) with a propane tourch, untill the stabilator was balanced on its hinge line.
