Brief Description:  Started Canopy

Its not clear how high the canopy frame needs to be relative to the windshield roll bar, so I am going to use scrap aluminium sheet (from the wing skin fuel tank cut-outs) as a tempory canopy side skirt. I will match drill the actual skirts using the tempory as a pattern when the fit is confirmed. Attached the slider angles to the sliders, I left a small gap between the slider and the horizontal flange of the angle so that the slider will not scrape on the flange. Then drilled and clecoed the temp skirts to the canopy frame. Placed the frame on the sliders shimed up .17 inches above the slider ( a guess) and drilled the skirt to the existing holes in the sliders using a 3/16" blind hole finder. Drilled and countersunk the angles to the longerons.
