Brief Description:  Modified sender ring, drilled mounting holes in ta

I didn't like the fuel sender installation instructions (purchased from Aircraft Spruce) to drill a large diameter hole in the tank with-out perimeter holes and install the mount ring as just a clamp ring in the tank. I decided to use a smaller diameter hole with perimeter bolt holes thru the tank. I cut a segment of the fuel sender mounting ring out to form a "C" shape so that it could be inserted into the tank thru the smaller diameter hole, then used the ring as a template to drill the bolt holes in the tank. I didn't notice however that the fastener holes are not symmetrical around the ring, and I didn't have the ring clocked properly. As a result I had to re-drill the pattern and ended up with a few oversized holes and one completely miss-drilled hole. This is acceptable as is however since the sender installation instructions don't call out any perimeter holes thru the tank at all, the gasket will keep the miss-drilled hole sealed. There is no appreciable shear load in the mount bolts.
This condition exists only in the left hand tank.
