After making two sets of numbers yesterday I started making a third set for my mom, 5 numbers in her house number, a little more wood and a little more material. Still, both Tara and I think they’re probably the nicest of the bunch. I routered the edges with the router in the router table rather than freehanding it with the router. I noticed some burn marks on Amy’s numbers from going too slow at the edges that took quite awhile to sand out. Seeing as how I needed 5/16” recessed screws to mount the router to the router table and Home Depot only carried 5/16 “ hex headed bolts, I got another chance to use the lathe and turned the bolts into the needed machine screws. Worked well. Neat tool that lathe.
