Brief Description:  Rear wing rib #9 and lathe caddy

Went to Home Depot for MDF to make RR#9 form. Did some legwork based on the serial number on the lathe (#69496) and found out from Marty Schubert at South Bend Lathe Works that it was originally purchased in 1936. Lathe info: S/N 69496 9" X 3' Model C shipped 10/29/1936 to Herbert Harvey in Camden N.J.

Later helped my neighbor Craig move a few base cabinets from his place of work to his garage and he gave me a spare base cabinet to set up the lathe on. We stopped by Lowes for a few and I bought a 30’ extension cord with automatic reel. Nice garage accessory. Mounted the extension cord reel on the ceiling and then spent the rest of Sunday cleaning up the lathe and then modifying the base cabinet to hold the lathe. Beefed up the cabinet with piece of 3/4 “ plywood top and bottom and added wheels to the bottom so I can roll it around the shop if need be. I also beefed up under the plywood top so it wouldn’t sag. In retrospect I should have extended the front of the top board and inch or two to keep metal shavings out of the top drawer. Oh well. Looks and works good though.
