Brief Description:  Stablizer skin bending

My friend Casey was over and gave me a hand for the day.

Joggled end ribs of stabilizer so that they fit flush inside of the spars channels. Next we bent the stabilizer nose skin. I cut the piece to size plus a little extra all around, then we gently curved it (not bend) til the ends met and we taped it up real good with duct tape where the two ends met. Next we laid it up on the table and I cut a 2x3 down to 3/4inch and fastened it to the table. Once the skin was on the table I got a large spare sliding closet door I had down in the basement and we placed it on top and started applying pressure til the door touched the ¾ inch stop. At that point we had a mild bend in the skin. Took the tape off and tested it again the end nose ribs. Appeared to have a nice 1inch radius bend in the skin. Good enough to go.
