Figured I'd do a leak test on the tank. Went to Home Depot and bought some fittings and a 3/8 inch gas valve. Made a fuel gauge sender cap and cut out some rubber gaskets. Hooked everything up, rubber banded on a balloon to the vent fitting and slowly pressurized it. Only leak I'm seeing, even with soapy water, is around an area I wanted to reweld anyway, a small 4mm length that obviously got missed near the far corner. Even so, the tank held good for about 10 minutes before the balloon sagged. I'll clean up that weld next weekend.
