Brief Description:  Tanks - Welding practice

More with the welding practice. I can at least do a REALLY pretty weld on steel now after spending a few hours on the aluminum. Made a perfect flat fusion weld on a piece of 1/8 inch steel angle. I'm sure I would not have been able to do that before with the torch so I'm getting something right. Now I just need to move that skill back over to the aluminum. A smaller torch, possbily the hobbyist, jewelers acetylene torch from Harbor Freight might work better. The smaller tips would probably help immensely at keeping the heat part of a smaller flame to an even more confined area on the workpiece plus it's a lot lighter and easier to handle. Now that I'm getting results with the larger torch I can see that the smaller torch would give a much prefered effect. The guy in the Tin Man video is using a much smaller torch. I may have to go that route. See what kind of spare cash I get for Christmas and B-Day.
