The second attempt at installing the wings we had four of us with the addition of Tony Tyler, an interested party that stopped by to observe. We don't allow that here. If your able bodied, we put you to work. The installation of the wings was still difficult, but we got it done. While the wings were on, we had several neighbors stop by to look. Unfortunately we didn't have anything for them to do. Pg. 32.10 Step 1: Applied clamps to align the Flaperons with the trailing edge of the wings. Step 2: Flushed the ends of the Flaperon Torque Tubes with the brackets on the Flaperon Torque Arms. Step 3: Inserted the .063" spacers between the Flaperon Torque Tubes and Flaperon Torque Arms then clamped them together. Step 4: Match drilled #30 the two top hole of each Flaperon Torque Arm into the Flaperon Torque Tubes. Step 5: We removed the wings with much difficulty extracting the pins. there was a lot of wiggling the wings while twisting the pins. Also removed the Flaperon Torque Tubes and Torque Arms. Next time the pins will be lubricated. Step 6: Went back to the work bench in the basement, where I clecoed the Flaperon Torque Tubes and Torque Arms using the .063" spacers and the previously drilled holes. then clamped them together. Step 7: Match-drill the #30 holes on the other side of the Flaperon Torque Arms. Step 8: Final-drilled #12 all the way through both sets of holes.
