Step 6: Split a Main Wheel Assembly by removing the cap screws holding the Brake Disk to the wheel. Removed the bolts securing the wheel halves. Removed the bearings from the Main Wheel Assembly. Cleaned the shipping oil from the bearings and races, then dried. Noted their positions for reassembly to same location.
Step 7: Dusted the tube and tire with talcum powder, then mounted the tube and tire on the wheel halves. Bolted the wheel halves together taking care not to pinch the tube. Torqued the wheel halves to 100 in-lb. Attached the brake disk using the cap screws provided. No provision for safety wire was provided and the manufacturers did not advise to use safety wire.
Step 8: Inflated and deflated the tire a couple of time to remove wrinkles from the tube, then inflated the tire to 28 PSI.
Step 9: Packed the bearings with Aeroshell 22 grease by repeatedly pressing the small end of the bearing into my grease coated palm until grese emerged from the large end of the bearing between the cage and the seal.
