Brief Description:  Canopy

When I started drilling the holes along the rear bow of the Canopy Frame, I was using a pneumatic drill with a 1/8" plexiglass bit. The awkward position coupled with the weight of the air hose caused the bit to slip while positioning for drilling. This left two scratches 3/4" and 2" long which started at the hole and progressed toward another edge. Before proceeding I decided to remove the scratches or risk cracks. I purchased a "Scratch Out" kit from Van's. It was determined from the instructions in the kit that I had deep scratches as you could feel them with a finger nail.
I started with 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and warm soapy water, then proceeded with the materials in the kit. Once the scratches were removed with the sand paper the rest was easy, but somewhat messy.
