Brief Description:  Fuse Wiring Harness

Pg 31-11
Step 1: Purchased a pair of bicycle handle bar grips from a bike shop. Installed the grips over the ends of the Control Sticks using soapy water for a lubricant.
Step 2: Drilled a 1/4" hole in the top of the grip plugs for the switch buttons. Had to drill out the bottom of the grip plugs to 3/8" for the switch bodies. Pushed the P and CP Push-To-Talk Harnesses up through the grip plugs and secured with the supplied nut. Unable to use the supplied washers.
Step 3: Inserted a length of braided fishing line with a small washer attached down through the Control Sticks. Tied the end of the C and CP Push-To-Talk Harnesses to the top end of the fishing line. The pulled the harnesses through the Control Sticks. The 90 degree bend and pivot tubes in the Control Sticks provide a challenge as they don't allow much clearance for the wires. Kept knots and taped areas small to reduce resistance when pulling the wires.
Step 4: Temporarily installed the Control Sticks buy inserting the bushings and bolting the sticks to the Control Column. Had to spread the ears on the Control Column slightly and had bore out the bushings with a 1/4" drill bit to avoid binding of the bolts. They were about 0.004" too small.
