Step 42: Machine countersunk the lower side of the Outboard Wear Plates, using a 100 degree countersink tool. Used a cut off 1/4" bolt in the drill chuck to align the drill chuck. Also used slow drill press speed and some cutting oil.

Step 43: Primed the Outboard Doubler Plates, Outboard Wear Plates, Inboard Doubler Plates and Inboard wear plates.
Lightly coated gear leg contact areas, Outboard and Inboard Wear Plates bare metal areas with gease to prevent rusting.

Step 44: N/A. Seal Strip not installed yet.

Step 45: Installed the Outboard Doubler Plates and Outboard Wear Plates to the Center Section Assembly on both sides. Used two AN5 bolts to align the parts.

Step 46: Maneuvered the Gear Legs and Outboard Main Gear Attach Brackets into position. Inserted the two AN5 bolts with washers and nuts, but did not tighten yet.
Used wood shims 1" thick to support the tire while inserting the gear legs.

Step 47: Installed the Inboard Wear Plate, Inboard Doubler Plate, Inboard Main Gear Attach Bracket and U-1203C Doubler Plate. Used a sand bag to hold bolts in place while installing nuts.
With the legs properly positioned, tightened and torqued the three inboard bolts starting in the center.
Used a brass drift and a hammer to seat the two oatboard bolts on each side. evenly tightened the bolts and observed the gaps between the Wear Plates and the Gear Attach Brackets were even until final torque. Seated the bolts again and checked final torque.
Filled the four 3/8" holes with HW-00003 Plugs.
