Started compliance with the service bulletin 11-12-14 on the fuel tank. Reference Section 37 in the Kit Assembly Instructions (KAI). The steps recorded are in the service bulletin.
Steps 1 and 2 are not required as the tank has not been used.
Step 3: Removed the T-1209 Sender Plate from the Fuel Tank Assembly (Page 37-04, Figure 3) This was very difficult to accomplish. Fuel tank sealant adheres very well. Used a screw driver to pry and an Exacto knife to cut the sealant. Cleaned the cured sealant from the mating surfaces of the sender plate and Fwd Tank Bulkhead. Sanded the surfaces and cleaned with MEK.
