Brief Description:  Canopy Installation

Pg. 34-16
Step 5: Removed excess flox from pivot bolt holes and sanded smooth.

Continued trimming the fiberglass on the Canopy Arms.

Drew up a plan for adding fiberglass to the canopy arms to close the gaps around the forward portion of the arms as much as possible. This will take place after certification and prior to painting. I will also close the holes on the ends of the Stabilator and Wing tips.

Replaced two LP4-4 rivets on each side of the Canopy on the forward skirt area due to sanding damage at the transition to the glass lay-ups.

Pg. 34-10
Step 1: Installed the Canopy Latch, Canopy Handle and Plastic Washer on the Canopy Frame. Had to pinch the tube slightly with padded vice grips to keep the handle from turning under it's own weight.
