Brief Description:  Mid Fuse Ribs & Bottom Skin

Step 9: Though not required, I elected to perform this task. Seal the opening in the WD-1233L Step with tank sealant. Even though the sealant I have left from the fuel tank is past it's expiration date, it's been in the freezer and I believe it will serve it's purpose to seal water out of the steps. To hold the sealant in place while curing, I made some dams from foam left over from forming the sides of the Canopy frame arms. I pressed the opening of the step into the foam, then used the mark created as a guide to cut out the dams. I placed the steps in a vice with the openings up. Pushed the dams into the openings about 1/8", then added sealant with a syringe until it was flush with the top of the opening. I'll leave the steps in the vice for a couple of day to cure. I suppose these could be welded shut or epoxied. I think a weep hole drilled at the under side at the bottom of the step would work also.
Step 10: Performed the operation on the right side at the same time as the left.
