Pg.35-15 Continued the repair of the bottom edge of the left canopy arm. I was not satisfied with the fill created with the previous four layers of glass so I added three more and a couple in another area that appeared low. I did not want to depend on microballoon mix along the edge as it may chip or break off due to engine vibration.
My main landing gear had slightly corroded from the humidity while stored in the hanger during the summer. My neighbor who works for an FBO at Hampton Field sand blasted the corrosion off. Then I scuffed off any remaining dirt and wiped them down with an MEK dampened rag to clean them up. I primed them with Marhyde self etching primer.
