Heated the work area to 75F before starting.
Step: 5 Sanded the exposed Canopy and Canopy Skirt with 60 grit paper until there was no glossy spots. Blew off the dust with compressed air. Then placed mylar packing tape over the duct tape on the Upper Fwd Fuse Skin and Side Skins. Waxed the mylar tape with car wax.
Step 6: Cut away the Canopy Foam to form the 1/8" shelves, then made an epoxy/flox paste to fill the the shelves
Step :7 Placed ply #1 on a piece of plastic drop cloth and wetted out with epoxy. Folded the extra plastic over the ply #1 and squeegeed the epoxy into the glass. Brushed a coat of epoxy onto the foam blocks, Canopy Skirt and Canopy. Exposed the ply#1 and placed it into position, then pulled the plastic off and threw it away. Had a sag on both sides. Mixed a batch of epoxy and micro balloons to fill the sags
Step 8: Allowed the resin to cure to a tacky gel. Had a sag on both sides. Mixed a batch of epoxy and micro balloons to fill the sags, then placed ply#2 and wet it out with epoxy resin. Continued with succesive plies on both sides through ply #5. Cover the lay ups with peel ply.
