Pg. 34-09 Step 2: Placed the Canopy on the Canopy Frame and clecoed the Canopy to the front bow. Screwed the canopy to the rear bow. Ran out of washers. They were used on the Fuel Tank Sight Glass. Will install when Van's sends replacements. Pg. 34-13 Step 2: Placed one layer of duct tape on the Upper Forward Fuse Skin all around the hinge opening and masked off the remaining area Upper Forward Fuse Skin. Step 4: Placed the trimmed Canopy Foam on the Canopy Frame. Pushed the Canopy Foam against the skirt and hinge bolt head. Traced the shape of the forward canopy frame onto the Canopy Foam blocks. Removed the foam blocks and trimmed to shape with a bandsaw. Drilled the Hinge Bolt hole with a Unibit to 1/2" and enlarged to 5/8" with 60 grit sand paper. The surface of the frame was previously scuffed. Applied vaseline to the hinge bolts.
