Brief Description: Testing XM Receiver with Hurricane Dolly
What a better way to test the recently installed XM Weather Receiver. Hurricane Dolly made landfall just North of south Padre Island/Harlingen in South Texas this morning. I set the range on the EFIS map to 300 miles and I could clearly see the eye of the hurricane in the southern tip of Texas. The weather station in Harlingen TX was showing a preasure of 29.25 mb and wind gusts of 55 mph. Pictures were taken about 6 hours after landfall. Receiver works great (I was receiving a good signal inside the garage with the door closed! - since it was raining outside).
