Brief Description: Finished forming the Center Spar Lightening Holes
Forming the lightening holes was a pleasure. I had practiced with some left over material and even though I had this very nice 5 ton manual presss, it took quite an bit of effort to form the flanges. I then came up with a better way of forming the flanges. I took a 2 ton hydraulic jack and placed it between the dies and the top of the press. Boy ! it sure was smooth and simple. After seeing the results I do not regret having to pay the extra $ for the metal dies and the press. It will sure save me a lot of time and efforts when it comes to making the wing ribs and other lightening flanges.
