SUCCESS! Removed the canopy locking mechanism so could drill out the canopy bushing holes in the proper place with the canopy down tight. Found some hollow tube bushings to fit into the plastic bushing blocks and a drill that would fit into these bushings. Inserted the bushings with the canopy in place and locked down into the desired position (this required Scott - our 'canopy expert' to be inside the cabin area with the canopy closed). With the bushings in place Scott then drilled a pilot hole into the canopy hinges. Once these holes were drilled, we then removed the canopy and step drilled out the pilot holes to the final busing size, and inserted the bushings. After replacing the canopy locking mechanism, we then reinstalled the canopy and locked it with the canopy locking mechanism. Canopy now fits down as desired! SUCCESS!
