Brief Description:  It Flies!!!

Had enough of a break in the wx to allow first flight. Taxi testing and break seating was first done and everything appeared ready for the first flight. First flight was performed by Ken Kreuger of Van's Aircraft. He reported a smooth flight with a slight right wing drop when stalling, otherwise it flew nicely. The top cowl was removed and an oil seep was found due to the oil line to the oil cooler not being fully tightened. This was corrected and a second longer flight was performed. The left fuel tank sending unit appears to be intermittent probably due to the sending unit not being fully grounded to the tank. We plan to look into this and get it corrected. AOA, airspeed, headings, and alternator all appear to be working and reasonably close to desired. Ken reported a 145K airspeed at 6000 feet without any fairings. Whoopee!
